1:72 / 20 mm pulp & weird world war 2 - complete ? list

Pulp and WWW2 in 20 mm? But why not the more popular 28mm scale? What are the reasons?
Pulp i WWW2 w 20 mm? Ale dlaczego nie w popularniejszej skali 28mm?

1. Collection of not-purely-pulpish figures and terrains.
If you already have a lot of figures, vehicles (cars, tanks, trains, ships) and terrains (houses, forests, roads and the like) suitable for colonial/WW1/interwar/WW2 in 20 mm / 1: 72, it is an absurd to start collecting all of those in the completely new scale.
1. Posiadany zasób innych niż wyłącznie pulpowych figurek i terenów w danej skali.
Jeśli masz dużo figurek, pojazdów i terenów do lat 1850-1950 w skali 20 mm/1:72, absurdem będzie rozpoczynanie gromadzenia nowych w nowej skali.

2. Price.
20 mm is cheaper. Figures are cheaper many times. Also terrain is cheaper. For example, trains in 20 mm is several times cheaper and much easier to find than trains in 28 mm. The same with model cars. Non-wargaming models suitable for 28 mm at ebay is very expensive due to more demand. And it is nice to have true horde of opponents against our heroes.
2. Cena.

3. Volume.
Platoon of 28 mm figures takes so much space as 20 mm company. Especially relevant in the case of terrains. It's easier to keep terrains, because in 20 mm it occupies several times less volume. In the trunk of a car you can carry the entire city.
3. Objętość.
Pluton figurek 28 mm zajmuje tyle miejsca ile kompania w 20 mm. Zwłaszcza w przypadku terenów ma to znaczenie. Łatwiej przechowywać tereny, bo zajmują kilkukrotnie mniejszą objętość. W bagażniku samochodu osobowego można przewieźć całe miasto.

4. Mapping
The table can cover the whole town, not just the intersection. It is easier for a more realistic ranges. Tactical situations can be more interesting. Combat of squads is more realistic than single soldiers. You can put on the table several vehicles, and it does not look like a parade ground. You can deploy the entire railway station and play a scenario of a moving train. One tank wont dominate whole table.
4. Odwzorowanie

5. Completeness
Pulp figures at 20 mm are quite rare than in 28 mm, so you can afford to have them all . OCD will not ruin your budget.

6. Weight.
28 mm metal figurines are relatively heavy - solid shelves are recommended. 20 mm mostly plastic figures are relatively light, thus it is easier to move and transport the sets. You wont get a hernia carrying whole set.
6. Waga.
Metalowe 28 mm figurki swoje ważą. 20 mm w większości plastiki półek nie zarwą, łatwiej przenieść i przewieźć scenografię. Nie dostaniesz przepukliny niosąc komplet do gry.

7. Experience.
In 20 mm you can rely on washes; masses of opponents You can even dip (with f.ex. Army Painter QuickShade). 28 mm figurines are differently paint, you need to use a lot of highlights (and other advanced painting techniques) to get a good results. If You already know how to paint 20 mm, maybe it is a good idea to keep with it?
7.Doświadczenie
W 20 mm można polegać na washach; masy przeciwników można nawet dipować (np. pokostem Army Painter QuickShade). Figurki 28 mm maluje się inaczej, by uzyskać dobry rezultat należy użyć wielu rozjaśnień i zaawansowanych technik malarskich.

8. Speed of paint
It is arguable, but judging after my experience and results of others, painting one 28 mm figure takes as much as whole squad od 20 mm figures. I admit, it is not so important in pulp skirmish like Pulp Alley. Afterall it is Yours aesthetic decision, whether several 28 mm figures make more visual impact than horde /company of 20 mm.
